Our fears were unfounded. As I statedearlier, we had a tailwind all day and made it to Lone Pine at an average ofabout 27 miles per hour over the 101mile route. We were in before lunchtimeand spent the afternoon cooling our legs in the hotel pool. It’s been a Technomarine replica watches muchneeded and unexpected break. Tomorrow will be a moderate climbing day—about 6,000feet—but with a twist. Our 104mile route ends in Death Valley. After gettingup to elevations around 10,000 feet in Yosemite, we’ll now be dipping below sealevel. Should be interesting. And hot.
